Not only do you have to work hard to be successful in life, but you also have to work harder than those who are in the same line of work that you are in.
The old saying is that hard work pays off, which is true no matter how hard everyone else is working, but in dire times it is those who push them selves over the edge who are rewarded with more success, better paying jobs, and over all higher quality of life.
When I was younger I had people tell me all the time that there will always be someone stronger than you, smarter than you, and better looking than you, and while the later may always hold true, I find we set our own barrier of success when it comes down to mental toughness and what you can accomplish in life.
There is no one stopping you but YOU when it comes down to how hard you will work to accomplish your life's goals. Not only is hard work good for you, but it is also good for all the people around you weather they know it or not. You are setting the standard high when it comes to working hard, thus everyone else around you will be forced to work hard to keep up with you. In the end they should thank you, because weather they know it or not they have gained a valuable work ethic and experience from your example.
I am all for sharing prosperity with my peers and I encourage others to do the same, however I also support keeping and preaching a high work ethic standard so we are strong as a nation, team, or family.
Hard work is the perfect balancing symbol placed on a strong healthy work force. The rules are simple. Those who are the smartest, work the hardest, and work harder than everyone else, are rewarded the most. It's the fairest work system we can have as a nation. It's the most positive foundation of a strong and healthy team that we can have. Everyone is treated equal everyone has a chance for success, and everyone works hard ensuring everyone will have their equal measure of success.
Sure there are unfair examples in life which can be used to debate that I am wrong, but strong people over come setbacks, unfairness, and other negative things that get in the way of their hard working goals.
After you have laid out the foundation for your goals, then thrown every inch of self doubt out the window, is it time for you to work harder than you ever have in your life for what you believe in. It's time to work harder than every one else. Set the example, not only will you prosper but your peers will as well.
