How to break a juice fast properly

Breaking a juice fasting diet can be just as challenging as staying on a juice fast. During the time you are on your fast, your intestines have not been digesting huge meals like before, so they must be casually trained how to digest whole foods again.

Do not take this step lightly, forgoing this step can have very dire consequences including extreme cramp pains in your lower gut.

The first day of introducing whole foods into your diet you should start off small like a slice of an apple or a few grapes.
The next day you might include a whole apple, and a few vegetables and some raw spinach.
The third day you can lightly introduce maybe two eggs, a hand ful of nuts, and more fruits and vegetables.

The forth day you can eat some more and so on. Do not have a big meal until at least 5-6 days have past of you gradually introducing whole foods again. The rule of thumb is the longer you have been juice fasting, the longer you must gradually reintroduce whole foods into your diet again.

The bigger the meal, the more processed, fatty, and unhealthy of the meal, the worse the cramps will be.

Usually the cramps will go away after two days or so, and if you go back to eating a poor diet you will begin to gain weight again. It's best to compliment a juice fast with a raw foods diet including plenty of raw fruit and vegetables, nuts, and anything else that isn't processed, pasteurized, or cooked.
